Pool Day
Handsome Kai
Real World Miami
So what happens when you bring together 3 generations of Wolfsons and put them into a house in Miami for a week? You eat a lot, get some beach and pool time in, do some shopping and in general have a good time. Yes some conflicts can arise, but overall it was a very special and wonderful opportunity to enjoy the newest generation every day — I even got my niece Sydney to stop saying no and allow me to spin on my shoulders. In addition, we got to go to our friend Andrea and Sarah’s wedding in Miami which was wonderful.
I know it’s only been a week back, but I already feel like I need my next vacation…
NYC Revisted
So it’s been a while — you would think that being on vacation would mean plenty of time for blogging. It turns out our days were filled to the brim, and the little downtime we had in NYC was usually spent playing with Kai (to be fair we were dragging him to all our appointments, so he deserved to enjoy some quality parent time too).
It was great to see everyone and enjoy a few of our old haunts in NYC. Plus sharing Kai with our friends and family was a treat in itself. Some highlights: Kai’s 6 month birthday/Easter party/dim sum brunch + revisiting our wedding day at the Central Park Boathouse + extreme shopping + extreme eating.
Central Park Playdate
Kai had his first NYC playdate at the Central Park. We got lunches at Whilefoods for mommies, brought organic baby foods for babies, sat in the sun, and enjoyed lovely afternoon.
It rained a night before, so couldn’t use my favorite blanket just gifted from our family friend. Next time, I should bring a waterproof mattress to go under.
The park was filled with other NY moms. Of course, I didn’t forget to check out their fashions :). Getting new ideas? Sure!

Auntie Visit
Aunt Paula and Uncle Alan came out to see Kai, and we decided to meet up in Philadelphia for a lunch before they returned to Milwaukee. Our original plan of going to a kosher turkish restaurant (to make it easier for Chika to avoid dairy because Kai appears to have some allergies) was aborted as they were closed for Passover. So we went to plan B, which turned out to be better than plan A — having lunch at Morimoto’s, one of the finer japanese restaurants around. Good food and good times were had.
